According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), "COVID-19 is primarily transmitted from person-to-person through respiratory droplets. These droplets are released when someone with COVID-19 sneezes, coughs, or talks. Infectious droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs." It can also be contracted by touching contaminated surfaces with your hands and then touching your face. Thankfully, something as simple as washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds helps to eliminate risk. It is especially important to wash your hands when you have been in large groups of people or possible contaminated areas.
